SEO Tip of the Day | Building Backlinks
Backlinks are a key player in the search engine optimization world, and building a large number of quality, relevant, “do-follow” backlinks will greatly improve Google PageRank and SEO in general. PageRank is directly related to a few factors and backlinks play an integral role in overall website ranking.
When building backlinks, be sure to target websites that are relevant. This is extremely important! Having a link from a marketing forum, when your business is an Italian restaurant, helps a tad but is not optimal. You want links from websites that have similar content — search engine optimization 101.
Also, be sure to research and target websites that offer “do-follow” links, or links that will provide your website with points or “link juice.” Links from high-PR sites should be your goal.
The more qualified sites that link to your site the better — remember this!
