In this day and age — a point in time where everything is shifting to the internet — an increased number of businesses are dropping conventional marketing mediums in favor of Social Media marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). This is a trend that started to take place a few years back and is gaining momentum by the minute.


To get the most out of your internet marketing efforts, I suggest a blend of Social Media and SEO. Carefully and beautifully choreographed social media campaigns can fall flat on their face if they’re hidden in search engines, which I see happen quite often. On the flip side, a social campaign that utilizes SEO has the ability to kick butt on social sites AND search engines. In essence, Social SEO kills two birds with one stone (whereas Chuck Norris kills two stones with one bird).


The way I look at it, if your company is spending big bucks for an all-inclusive Social Media campaign, why isn’t it being matched with SEO? This is something to think about.


Moral of the story: Don’t think Social Media, don’t think SEO… Think Social SEO. It may sound remotely corny, but I like it.
