Viral Video: Chinese BBQ Dancers – Whaaaat?
While researching recipes for Chinese BBQ pork (Char Siu) I came across a “unique” video on YouTube which puts a spin on the notion of kicking food up a notch. Not only was the BBQ kicked up a notch, so was the experience: Being served by a nearly naked man dancing to techno.
After busting a few secretive dance moves, just when I thought the Fax Machine, the Peppermill or the Robot would kick in, he decided to chug down a beer then proceed with shaking his bon bon.
The dude in front, no joke, should be on Fox’s television series “So You Think You Can Dance.” He’s clearly a rock star. I’m a huge BBQ fanatic, but have never been that excited over meat. And, I have never danced in my underwear while serving BBQ.
Additionally, the secondary performer (based on his level of excitement and gyrations) on the back right is breaking out dance moves from Boney M’s video “Sunny”, which surprised me. You go boy!
In the end, what does this video show? It shows the power of the internet and how cultures/fads spread throughout the world. If I didn’t know this was in China, I’d think it took place in Downtown Los Angeles.
