Medical SEO Tips: Making a Medical Practice Profitable via SEO Search Engine Optimization | August 27, 2010 | By Aaron Schoenberger

Producing an effective and profitable SEO campaign can sometimes seem like a daunting task, but with a little article by moi, and a few tweaks to one’s SEO strategy, medical practices can see excellent results.

Please find my SEO tips for medical practices, including doctors of all types, below:

Identify a Target Market
An integral aspect of online marketing success involves solidifying a target market and sticking to such. Medical practices need to understand their patients (and potential patients) to form a reactive marketing strategy. In essence, respond to searches by one’s target market by ranking high in search engines for select keywords, thus gaining exposure and ultimately bringing in new patients.

Information Wins Hearts
Don’t focus on selling your medical practice — just don’t do it. Instead, provide patients with information and let them make the most informed decision for their best interests.

Medical Practice Website Design
Medical practice websites should clearly and easily furnish information for visitors to peruse. Complicated, overly animated, convoluted websites should be preserved for creative entities, not medical practices.

I hope these tips have been helpful for all of you doctors out there. And, if any of my previous doctors happen to read this, forgive me for screaming and barricading myself in the bathroom, or other available spaces, as a kid. I can’t stand needles, so cut me some slack.
