I remember being a young buck and thinking of the wild ride ahead. What is life all about? Will my dreams someday come to fruition? Who will I be 5, 10, 50 years from now? And finally, will I ever drive a mid-sized sedan?
Kia Motors has released a new nationwide commercial, launched on December 10th, featuring the 2011 Kia Optima in all its glory, which I have to admit I’m quite fond of. The ad spot, titled “Sweet Dreams,” takes childhood fantasies — things we wished, read and sometimes even thought could happen — and brings them back to life.
After the magical dream, the commercial sums up with: “No one ever dreamt about driving a mid-sized sedan…Until now.” Bam! I love it! This punch line, combined with the innovative videography and post-production, provides for one kick butt commercial.
A little over a year ago Kia Motors came to us regarding Social Media Marketing and improving the brand’s perceived value, and I am ecstatic to see they’re succeeding. Kia vehicles are high-quality and packed with features, but unfortunately most people don’t realize it. At first, I was amazed to hear that Kia offers a wide variety of options including: a rear-view camera (on some models), navigation, satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, dual zone climate control, keyless entry and steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, but I now know it’s their mission. Both Houston and I concur: “Mission Accomplished.”
