While indulging in a toasted sammy and some soup from Quiznos on this chilly day in Los Angeles, I noticed a sign by the front door with a talking toaster saying: FOLLOW ME. I first thought to where; are we going to toasted sandwich heaven? Then I glanced down to see the iconic Facebook and Twitter logos staring me down. A-ha!
I’m intrigued by two things, which I must share:
- Real Estate — Signage provides only so much space, and it’s exciting to see social media occupying a large portion of valuable real estate. Not all restaurants understand the importance of social media marketing, but I’m wishing they would. Quiznos: Good job!
- Location — Notice how the sign (pictured above) is just to the left of the front door. Once customers eat and are on the way out, the last thing they’ll see is social media. When the meal is over and people are back at home/work, Quiznos wants to continue communicating with its customers on channels, which is worthy of an applaud.
All in all, I believe Quiznos is doing an excellent job in the social world and I’m looking forward to their next moves.
