Ever since I became a Mac enthusiast (many years ago), my life has been an Apple-infused tech heaven. I have owned pretty much every product they’ve put out, and the Big A continues to impress me on a regular basis. Given my intimate connection with the brand, I was sad to hear that Steve Jobs will be taking another medical leave of absence.
In a memo sent to Apple employees today, Steve Jobs stated: “At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health. I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company.”
I feel that Mr. Jobs has been an integral part of Apple’s success, and I’m hoping his health does not interfere with innovation. Yes, Tim Cook may be stepping in, but does he posses the same magical touch? We shall see.
If you love Apple products and want to wish Steve Jobs the best of luck, shoot him a message on Twitter: @ceoSteveJobs.
Get well soon, Steve! We need you.
