Santa Monica Pier Night Photos | Nikon D90 w/ Slow Shutter Speed
A few days ago the weather here in Los Angeles finally letup, the heat subsided, and I crawled out of my air conditioned hole. I decided to take a quick drive to Santa Monica Pier and snap some night photos with a friend of mine. Parking in Santa Monica is quite difficult, unless you want to pay $10-$20, and I was very stoked to find a parking spot on the street just outside of the Santa Monica Pier, which was 100% free. My friend and I simply walked down the ramp leading to the pier and within 1-minute we were on the pier; stinky water and all…
Photos From Press Conference w/ Arnold Schwarzenegger
Here are a few photos from a press conference that I had attended on Friday, September 18th. Arnold Schwarzenegger was instrumental in terminating eviction notices that were given to 20 disabled residents of Regency Court in Monrovia, CA. To read more about the issue, check out my previous post: Arnold Schwarzenegger Says “Hasta La Vista” To Eviction Notices…
Arnold Schwarzenegger Says “Hasta La Vista” To Eviction Notices
I remember being a kid, and watching Arnold Schwarzenegger blow stuff up on TV; It was just the coolest thing ever (I know, typical boy). But, today, the Terminator was a true hero. A good friend of mine who I’ve known since junior high, Lily Hixon, was unfortunately born with Down syndrome and has had to overcome many challenges in her life. One challenge was to gain the ability to live alone and hold a steady job, which she now does with ease. Her home is clean as a whistle and whenever I visit I’m greeted with a hug, a cold drink, and a warm smile.
Recent Photos From Santa Monica Beach
This past weekend I decided to cruise to Santa Monica beach, in Southern California, and snap some photos. It was a gorgeous day and luckily it paid off. Visibility was excellent, and I had to take advantage of such. Check out the below photos and feel free to share your thoughts!
Topanga Canyon Hike w/ Nikon D90 + Voltaic Generator Solar Bag
This Saturday just happened to be my birthday, and a bunch of friends were asking me where I wanted to go.. I thought about it for a few days and decided I’d love to go hiking, to a cool spot, and simply get out of Los Angeles (proper) for a day. We drove about 15-minutes from my house, up the Pacific Coast Highway, and made a right turn on Topanga Canyon. From that point forward, the directions will have to be a mystery. I could tell you, but I’d have to kill you. =)~
Photos | Fireworks + Santa Monica Pier Solar/LED Ferris Wheel
4th of July — good ole’ 4th of July… I always love seeing fireworks, relaxing with friends/family, and eating amazing food. Such a fun holiday. This year I decided to sneak out to Santa Monica Pier, solo, and snap photos of the fireworks in Marina Del Rey and also the cool, new solar-powered Ferris wheel…
Photos | La Brea Tar Pits + Page Museum
Ahhhhhhh…. A nice, breezy, colorful day in Los Angeles. As I relaxed at home I thought to myself: what’s the greenest place to visit right now? I needed to get out, get some fresh air, and put work aside for once (you all know how that is). I didn’t want to drive anywhere far, spend excessive money on typical Los Angeles attractions, and wanted to see a hint of nature in the heart of this bustling city. So, I decided to visit the Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits, which is next to Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Fairfax and Wilshire.
Kenneth Hahn Park | Photos From my Journey in Los Angeles
Another nice day here in Los Angeles and I decided to take a hike at Kenneth Hahn State Park. And, I’m sooooo happy I did! When I was a kid, I’m talking about 7-10 years old, I used to always visit Kenneth Hahn with the YMCA. It’s tucked away in the hills in Baldwin Park and offers all sorts of cool, green features including miles of hiking trails, 2 lakes that are home to many types of birds, a Japanese garden and much more!
