I have lived in West LA for the past 5 or so years, but had not visited Gyu-Kaku's West LA location on Pico until recently. Boy, oh boy, am I dumb for waiting.

When I was very young my favorite dish was "Oysters Rockefeller" and to this day I crave seafood on a minutely basis. Lobster, crab, scallops, shrimp, fatty tuna, sea urchin, oh my! Aside from my cat (Shrimpy) seafood is my best friend.

		<description><![CDATA[I'm a big foodie and avid cook as many of you blog followers know, and of all foods I have to say BBQ is my absolute favorite. There's just something relaxing and surreal about enjoying the outdoors while meat and vegetables slowly cook over a crackling fire. Reminds me of YMCA camp when I was a kid, or the time I stayed at a "dude ranch" in Wyoming.
