The time has come and Apple’s iPad will officially be released in a couple of weeks. Web browsing, maps, sending emails, watching video clips, and use of the internet in general will be changed. Instead of sitting at a desk poking away at a computer, burning yourself with a sizzling laptop while on the couch, or pinching your phone’s screen for hours as you scroll through simple but vast websites, the iPad steps in as a revolutionary force.
What are the coolest parts of the iPad for me?
- iBook is awesome! The appearance of the program, where books appear on a bookshelf, is ingenious. And, you can write on the pages and highlight certain areas. I wish I had an iPad while in college, I would have made a good amount of money selling books as opposed to returning the violated, highlighted bundles of paper I brought back to the book store.
- YouTube is displayed in HD, which makes the iPad a good upgrade to those who like watching videos on their phone, as well as an upgrade to most laptop monitors. The screen on the iPad is stunning.
The downside?
- No Flash! I have had an iPhone since the first release and have always disliked the fact that Flash is singled-out like a redheaded stepchild. Not cool. But, I’m sure there’s a good reason behind this, so I digress.
Apple’s first television commercial for the iPad, which aired during the Oscars, has created quite a viral buzz and such has carried over to the internet with techies throughout the world blogging and Tweeting like animals. Rawr! Sorry, had an outburst. The video is shown above.
I look forward to seeing final sales numbers from Apple as I know the digits are through the roof from what I have seen so far.
Sincerely,
