I recently reviewed the “Organisation Census 2010” that was released by the Association of Online Publishers (AOP) and was glad to see their findings closely match my previously stated marketing predictions for 2010. Their report is very informative and illustrates the brains behind their organization.
Half of the industry professionals that took place in the survey — consisting of over 1,500 publications and brands — are predicting 10%+ growth in 2010. According to AOP: “The main areas for growth are expected to be in display ads, with video particularly expected to show significant growth this year, whilst a range of other revenue streams will increasingly contribute to turnover.”
For online advertising executives like myself, the best news is that 75% of the 1,500 survey respondents plan to increase investments in their digital businesses. As part of this, I can see Search Engine Optimization (aka Search Engine Optimisation in the UK) will become more and more popular. All web marketing relies on SEO whether it’s promoting viral videos, blog content or products.
I hope this information has been helpful and good luck!
Sincerely,
