Tonight I’m up late researching stocks, and in doing so I noticed that 1-800-Flowers.com may be an excellent buy for all of you investors out there. Also, it’s an ideal example of the success that can be achieved through online marketing.

The main reason I think purchasing stock in 1-800-Flowers.com is smart, at this moment in time, is due to the company being featured on the CBS television show ‘Undercover Boss.’ The show has created a large buzz for each company featured, and each business experiences a surge in stock prices shortly after episodes air. According to an article on Wall Street Journal, “The stocks of all the public companies that have appeared on the show are up since their episodes aired, and all but one have outperformed the Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index in that time.”

More importantly, pertaining to my industry (advertising), I’m ecstatic to see that 1-800-Flowers.com brought in a large amount of new customers through Internet marketing mediums. This, like the 1,000+ other things I have cited in the past, prove that internet marketing is extremely important in this day and age. A recent investor report from 1-800-Flowers.com stated: “During the fiscal second quarter, the Company attracted 656,000 new customers, of whom 78 percent, or 512,000, came to the Company through its online channels.”

In conclusion, all of you investors should follow ‘Undercover Boss’ and businesses looking to increase revenue need to explore online marketing channels. Marketing via the internet is the wave of the future.
