The United States Treasury has announced that a new $100 bill will be released in February, 2011. The new bill will include a variety of security features that will make counterfeiting nearly impossible.

The new $100 bill sports a cool 3-D security ribbon housing images of bells and 100’s, which change position as the bill is tilted. To add another chameleon-like feature, the bell in the inkwell will change color from bronze to green when tilted. These are some quite interesting security features and I can’t wait to have a new $100 bill in my hand.

For all businesses out there, make sure you’re familiar with the new bill when it is released as you don’t want to be surprised last minute.
