Ladies and gentleman, after writing numerous articles on Geico’s awesome advertising campaigns, I was startled to see a Geico lizard lookalike staring me down in the garden while I was trimming plants like an old hippie. Who let him in? Was he going to speak to me? Or, worst case scenario, did I have a stalking lacertilia on my hands?

This little sucker had the courage of Chuck Norris and was as mysterious as the Dos Equis man. I have a variety of lizards (and other wildlife) on my property, but most run from me, not follow me.

In the end, once I broke out the trusty hose to water my cherry tomatoes he scuttled away in a jiffy. All I could mumble was: “I hate it when you leave, but I love to watch you go.” Hopefully he will return soon.
