Like a throwback to 1848, the California Gold Rush is back in action, but instead of extracting wealth from Mother Earth it’s being found in a new age marketing medium — social media.
A few days ago I was speaking to a close friend of mine that’s a former marketer and currently the CFO of a technology company in San Francisco, and he mentioned noticing a huge social buzz floating around town. San Francisco has always been known as a progressive city and is home to a variety of web ventures, including Craigslist, so I wasn’t surprised to hear social media marketing is booming like it is here in Los Angeles, CA.
With a tech-savvy population, San Francisco businesses must see the light at the end of the tunnel and engage past, present and potential customers via social channels. Now is a pivotal moment in time where you can either stay ahead of the 8-ball or get left in the dust. It’s up to you to make that decision.
