As with anything that houses working parts (servers/software), things are bound to go wrong once in a while. It’s the nature of the game and is nothing to be afraid of.
Tumblr users have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions on the microblogging platforms downtime, and such has created quite a buzz in the social world. Everyone: It will be okay, trust me. If it’s not, I owe you a hug.
According to Tumblr’s Twitter page, “We’re working quickly to recover from a major issue in one of our database clusters. We’re incredibly sorry for the inconvenience.” Stuff happens, you can’t help it, and I’m glad to see Tumblr is communicating with its users in a transparent, clear manner.
Let’s hope the site is back up and running soon.
