This morning, I woke up to a beautiful day in Los Angeles and decided to whip up a cup of coffee. Walked to the kitchen, opened the fridge, and saw social media icons starting me down. Given the fact that I love marketing, this wasn’t a bad thing to see first thing in the morning, and it was actually very inspiring.
Newhall Coffee Roasting Company has done an excellent job of integrating Twitter, Flickr, and Facebook into their coffee’s packaging. The logos are quite large, easy to read, and reside on the side of the package towards the bottom, which makes them very noticeable as you can see from the photos above. Nice work!
Over the next couple years, product packaging will continue to evolve and social media elements will become more and more pronounced. Thinking back to a few years ago, what brands included social icons on product packaging? Almost none. Nowadays, it’s an everyday occurrence.
