Following up to an article I wrote on January 7th titled Verizon iPhone: When Dreams Become Reality, Verizon held a press conference in New York City today and officially tied the knot…The glorious iPhone will be available to Verizon customers in February.
Verizon’s CEO, Lowell MacAdam, was the knight in shining armor who made the announcement, and it has created an overwhelming social buzz. It seems as if everyone and their mama wants a Verizon iPhone, which must have my carrier — AT&T — quivering.
From a marketing standpoint, will the social buzz generate enough interest/sales where Verizon will have the luxury of raking in orders with little to no marketing efforts? So far it’s looking that way.
