Today was a gorgeous day in Los Angeles — the weather was perfect. As the sun started to go down I was inspired to whip out my camera and snap a few photos.
This is a shot from the Topanga Canyon lookout, and shows the sun setting over Calabasas. I used a Nikon D90 and set the shutter speed to 2 seconds, which is why the tail lights of cars look like red streaks.
Many people think of Los Angeles as a hustling, bustling city but in reality certain areas are quite calm with a woodsy vibe. I live in Calabasas and absolutely love it. There are horses up the street and the city is only 30 minutes away (when traffic permits).
If you’re a local, let’s keep in touch! I love meeting new people.
