The last thing you would ever want to do is bring a knife to a gun fight, and when it comes to social media marketing, failing to create unique content is doing just that.
When I discuss social media with clients or while speaking at events, I always refer to unique content as ammo. It’s your firepower that will not only reach people throughout the world, but establish a level of influence.
Ask yourself this: If you share articles, photos and videos on a regular basis but none are unique and you are simply passing them on, does that establish you as an authority? No. It shows you can find good content; that’s about it.
The most important part of social media marketing is establishing a level of influence so others look to you (or your company) as a definitive source of information. This is done by building digital relationships and sharing helpful, unique content.
