When it comes to search engine optimization, one of the most common mistakes companies make is trying to own the Internet in one swing of the bat. But unfortunately that doesn’t work because, as the saying goes, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”
The goal of search engine optimization is to compile a list of target keywords/phrases, prioritize them based on search traffic and potential conversion rates, then perform SEO magic. If you have 50 words on your list, don’t go after all of them at the same time. Instead, target 3-5 keywords at a time, achieve top rankings, then move on to the next.
By targeting only a few keywords you’ll have the ability to see results sooner rather than later. Having laser-like focus is far better than spreading yourself too thin and diluting the impact of your SEO efforts.
