We are living in a world that’s full of smoke and mirrors beginning with social media years ago and now with AI clouding everything, including what we essentially classify as goofball behavior in the sense that marketing companies along with others are jumping on the AI bandwagon yet 99% of the time they don’t actually get it. And that creates a major problem.
To frame things in a digestible way and the progression of understanding AI/tech as a whole, the process first begins with truly understanding the core processes happening behind the scenes from how training deep learning models works, the servers powering such, and all of the other cool/exciting stuff. Think about it like being a pilot or a race car driver – you know your baby intimately – yet only a handful of marketing folks truly have a grasp on the AI world.
Taking things a step further, there are marketing companies that see the light at the end of the tunnel and have decided to go down a path of developing tech that uses AI and maybe they file a provisional patent, but what does that really mean? It’s the classic example of an entrepreneur/team appearing on Shark Tank saying they have a patent pending, but until it’s issued that’s just a pie in the sky (40-50% of provisional patents are abandoned). And in the meantime, what is the technology actually producing?
Progressing more, there will be a small number of technology gangstas that actually see the big picture and develop the coolest, most innovative solutions, secure patents and create waves for top companies because they are masters of their trade. Aaron Schoenberger, The Founder of The Brainchild Group, is a prime example by not only being recognized as an innovator/pioneer in the social media marketing/analytics space in the early days but also secured powerful patents on AI technology that power big companies today.
The moral of the story: As a company with a lot at stake would you rather hire a team where the proof is already in the pudding or bet on a pie in the sky? If you want to get stuff done now let’s connect.
