A few days ago the weather here in Los Angeles finally letup, the heat subsided, and I crawled out of my air conditioned hole. I decided to take a quick drive to Santa Monica Pier and snap some night photos with a friend of mine. I’m so glad I did!
Parking in Santa Monica is quite difficult, unless you want to pay $10-$20, and I was very stoked to find a parking spot on the street just outside of the Santa Monica Pier, which was 100% free. My friend and I simply walked down the ramp leading to the pier and within 1-minute we were on the pier; stinky water and all. (I wish the storm drains didn’t lead to Santa Monica, but what can I do.)
After walking towards the end of the pier, I kicked myself in the butt for forgetting my tripod, but I can live with my mistake. My intention was to photograph cool photos of Santa Monica from the end of the Santa Monica Pier, but doing so freehand is a little tricky. Grrrr! Next time.
Please find a few photos of my semi-successful journey below. There will be more to come soon.
Sincerely,
