Tonight I have decided to share a thought with everyone; something that is quite important and has been bugging me for some time.

Last night I was reading a very interesting review on the new movie ‘Google Me’ which is an ingenious documentary by Jim Killeen that features him and seven other guys named Jim Killeen. It’s a journey that illustrates the importance of search engines and social networking in this day and age.

With mobile advertising on the rise and expected to grow by 45% in 2010, a large influx of businesses are jumping on the mobile marketing bandwagon. And, when marketing via a mobile platform, having working knowledge of mobile Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is extremely important. In particular, understanding geotagging is key.

As the economy continues to gradually improve, an influx of consumers will re-enter the car market and, surprisingly, will have no clue where to begin. They haven’t purchased or leased a vehicle in 3+ years, aren’t familiar with current deals, and are often indecisive on what to get (make, model, options, etc.). This is where the intergalactic powers of SEO are flexed.

If there is one question that I can say I am asked most often it’s: Does my company need an SEO consultant? I have been asked this question hundreds if not thousands of times and my answer is always the same. Would you cut your own hair? Point made.

Optimizing a hotel website for SEO is the most important element of hotel marketing in this day and age. More and more people are using the internet to find answers to life’s question and this, my friends, is where SEO shines.
