Social Media marketing is a very tricky business, and often times I see beginner companies/individuals claim to be ‘professionals’ but in fact they’re relatively new to the game. Being new isn’t bad, but when incorrect information is suggested to clients and this information ultimately affects the livelihood of the client’s business, that’s when I have an issue. It bugs me like a thorn in the behind (not that I’ve had one, I just like the saying).
Yesterday I had a blast at Ryan Sheckler’s ‘Skate for a Cause’ charity event, which was created to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The atmosphere at the event was overwhelmingly positive and, all in all, I really respect what Ryan Sheckler and the other skaters did. Stepping up to the plate (or shall I say rail) to make a difference for mankind is quite commendable and I thank you.
Now that I have finished school, am grown, and have created a successful company that’s known throughout the world, I feel compelled to provide my opinion on the Silly Bandz ban that is being adopted by schools around the country. Children have rights too, and I feel banning a silly little bracelet is the worst thing educational institutions can do. As a child I could not speak up, but now I can.
In this day and age — a point in time where everything is shifting to the internet — an increased number of businesses are dropping conventional marketing mediums in favor of Social Media marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). This is a trend that started to take place a few years back and is gaining momentum by the minute.
Bimmerfest 2010 at the Rose Bowl was a blast! I saw many of the same faces I have been seeing for 7+ years and was glad to see a bunch of old friends. That along with all of the cool cars truly made my day.
The Twitter phenomenon is growing by the day and shows so signs of letting up any time soon. Everyone and their mama, including my mum (I love the UK spelling, sorry), is using Twitter. For being a micro blogging site, it’s quite robust and has a lot to offer.
Many people are afraid of change and are set in their ways, especially when it comes to marketing. The notion is that if current marketing efforts are bringing in sales, why fix them? Why reinvent the wheel?
The day is finally here…I’m preparing for Bimmerfest and will be heading out shortly. Woo hoo! I received a few calls regarding location of the show, when it starts, etc. so I wanted to post information for everyone to ensure you have no trouble getting to the show.
Over the years I have come across a few branding downfalls, which are roadblocks to success and hinder the portrayal of a transparent, representative, focused company. These downfalls are not seen in television commercials, print ads or banners. Instead, they’re spread throughout the internet.
